MS Outlook Express E-Mail Setup

| The following screen shots will take you through the basic setup of Outlook Express. First click on Tools, then Accounts - Next click on the Mail tab- If you do not have an account set up click here for a complete walk through of the Outlook Express setup |
Make sure that your account is highlighted and click on Properties - this screen will appear: Read the text below each window to determine the proper settings for your domain. |

If you are part of the PIIAI network, your e-mail
address will be, yourcompany@piiai.net. If you have your own domain, you will use username@yourdomain.com Enter your information in the above window and then click on the Servers tab |

Depending upon your geographical location
your Mail server will vary. If you are a part of the PIIAI network, your incoming mail server should be set as mail.piiai.net, and your outgoing mail server should remain the same as your current internet provider's SMTP server. Your account name is your e-mail address, and you password is your logon password. Next click on the Connection tab and you will see this: |
| Choose your Internet service provider here. If you are having problems with Outlook trying to dial the wrong connection,or if it asks you to disconnect and dial another connection, this is the place to specify that. Simply click on the drop down bar under "Always connect to this account using" and choose the connection you want to use. If your selection is not there, you can add one by clicking on "Add". When finished, click on OK and your Outlook Express should be ready to send and receive email! |
